Political Scene
Following the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25, 2020, people across America amplified the call to address systemic racism and to make greater profress towards forming "a more perfect union." Outdoor protests andmaraches occurred in cities and towns across the nation, including here in Reading, with participants wearing masks and maintaining social distance. People also marched to call for action on other issues of nation and international concern, including climate change.
