Neighbors Helping Neighbors
In the early days of the pandemic -- March, 2020 -- we hoped that shutting down the country for two weeks would arrest or at least profoundly slow the spread of the virus. Unfortunately, it didn't. As the pandemic progressed, we found ways to come together to meet existing and emerging needs. Caring for each other took a myriad of forms, including feeding the hungry, supporting local businesses, connecting with our neighbors in innovarive ways, wearing face coverings, and more. Here are some ways that Reading residents helped each other cope.
