Black and white image of trees and a wall or bench in the Cochran Sanctuary
-
A black and white photograph showing trees and a stone wall or bench made of various stones stacked together.
-
This may be the Thompson Memorial bench, which was built for Augustus Porter Thompson, P. A. Class of 1892, who was the sanctuary's first manager, and Augustus Porter Thompson, Jr. P. A. Class of 1928, who died a year after graduating. The memorial is a stone bench and the concave stone placed on the top of a hill to overlook the skyline of the campus.
