Trees and bushes with a stone wall in the Cochran Sanctuary
-
An image with variety of trees, mainly pine and a stone wall. It's covered in pine needles but has warm light filtering through the trees onto the stones.
-
This stone wall may be connected to the Thompson Memorial, which was built for Augustus Porter Thompson, P. A. Class of 1892, who was the sanctuary's first manager, and Augustus Porter Thompson, Jr. P. A. Class of 1928, who died a year after graduating. The memorial is a stone bench and the concave stone placed on the top of a hill to overlook the skyline of the campus.
