Wood gates with stone posts at Cochran Bird Sanctuary

Item

Title
Wood gates with stone posts at Cochran Bird Sanctuary
Description
Color image of a wooden gate and two stone posts that have smaller doors. Behind it is a green forest.
These gates are likely the entrance gates to the Cochran Bird Sanctuary which are made of stone and rusticated lumber. Those gates were built in 1932 based on a design by Stuart Travis, an artist whose murals and dioramas appear in several other places around the campus, and were originally for the Chapel Cemetery. They were relocated when the school built the Rabbit Pond Dormitories.
