Clearing with a stone cement piece in Cochran Bird Sanctuary

A still color image showing a clearing covered in pine needles and leaves. There is a pillar or wall of cemented stone in it. Around the clearing are trees and rhododendron plants.

This clearing and piece may be all that remains of a duck house on the duck pond. The pond that was constructed as a natural habitat for water birds and a duck house was built on its southeastern shore. Later other coops and bird houses were placed further up the trail.
