On today's episode of COVID Chronicles, Josiah talks with Chief Tom Griffin from the Peabody Police.

Peabody Chief of Police, Tom Griffin, change in polices and procedures; civilian staff working at home; internally, things have changed--no roll call; concerned about possibility of officers becoming infected and the impact on staffing; change in response to calls--ask callers to come outside to maintain social distancing; officers now have N-95 masks; minimize exposure to officers and citizens; fewer interactions, especiall traffic; roll has changed and police now take on tasks normally conducted at the court--arraignments, for example. Prisoners now stay at police station longer before being transferred to other facilities. Must also enforce social distancing among citizens. Advises citizens to follow advice of the Peabody Director of Health, Sharon Cameron. Chief Griffin thanks everyone who has reached out to the department to offer support.
