Coloring wheels
-
Black and white photograph with ball point pen noting Coloring Wheels at the Boston Mat Leather Company, Peabody, Massachusetts, 1918. Also in pen with an arrow pointing to one of the men is a note John Leach, now of Leach & Heckell, Salem.
-
The man to the viewer's left, John Leach, holds a long handled metal cup and is pouring a liquid into what appears to be a glass beaker or cup. The man to Leach's right wears a long leather apron and is gazing at the camera. Behind them are wooden barrels with metal hoops, windows which let in streams of sunlight lighting on the floor. On the right of the center of the photo is a long row of square columns behind which are large drums. Two men stand before them, one looking at the drums, the other at the camera and he holds a long wooden paddle resembling an oar.
