Everett High School pitching ace Walt "Lefty" Seward (front row R) is awarded the William F. Fiori Memorial Trophy as 1951 MVP of the Everett High baseball team. Walt went on to pitch in the Cleveland Indians system for more than a decade. In September, 1960, Everett hosted fire departments from throughout the area for a "Fireman's Muster". After a parade down Ferry and Chelsea Streets to Everett Stadium. A competition involving antique fire equipment was staged at the stadium. The winner was the "Ould Newbury Associates" from Newbury, Mass.
