Built between 1835 and 1845, the Greek Revival style house has a 2 story ell at the rear and a large wraparound porch with fluted Doric columns. The first owner was Joseph W. Vinton, a tavern owner. It was later owned by John G. Aborn, for whom Aborn Street is named.
